The construction of the required water intakes in the Turan Biosphere Reserve has begun in cooperation with experts from the Parsian Heritage Wildlife Institute, environmentalists, and the management of the area.
Turan, one of the most important habitats of the Asiatic cheetah, is currently struggling with drought. In the Asiatic cheetah conservation project in the Turan Biosphere Reserve, in collaboration with environmentalists in the area, the construction of water intakes in sensitive areas identified in research is a step towards saving the thirsty wildlife of the area.
To date, some of the required reservoirs have been prepared in cooperation with the institute's sponsors and the Plastonic Company, and the reservoir infrastructure construction operations are underway.
